Destiny's Trials of Osiris Delayed Because Of Exploit

Bungie is delaying the much-anticipated return of Destiny’s Trials of Osiris while they address a recently discovered exploit that can totally ruin competitive matches. The announcement is part of the latest Destiny weekly update, which also includes a release date for the King’s Fall raid’s upcoming hard mode. Trials of Osiris no longer has a specific release date; King’s Fall hard mode is coming on October 23rd at 10AM Pacific. A funny thing happened on the way to the Lighthouse. It turns out that there’s a particularity nasty bug that would undoubtedly conspire to create a less competitive return to form for Trials of Osiris. We’re going to be intentionally vague here, for what we hope are obvious reasons! We’re going to disable that bug before we invite you to take your next run at a 9-0. We’re also working on a final fix for the bug itself as soon as possible. As soon as we have a solid commitment for Brother Vance, we’ll make a formal announcement on when Trial of Osiris will begin again. We hope that most of you recognize the impact a limitless Nightstalker would have on the competitive landscape. In sunnier news, Bungie will be releasing King’s Fall hard mode a week earlier than they say they’d been planning; it’ll be out on October 23rd at 10AM pacific. Dague offered a few additional details e19 on what to expect: Right about now, some of you are wondering what you can do to prepare. We won’t give you hints, but we’ll plot the difficulty incline. Recommended Light for Hard Mode is 300 – 320. The loot that will drop will be between 310 – 320. Gear up and mark your calendars. Before the race for World First begins, we’ll share some more insights from the Raid design team that’s about to bring the real pain. Cool to hear that we’ll get gear that goes all the way up to 320. Then again, with my luck, I’ll get a fucking 310 fusion rifle for every single drop, and Oryx will give me like 16 moldering shards. The update also contains some vague future-looking stuff—Nightfall rewards are going to get better soon, and they’re still betdog gathering data before they officially decide that the Titan Sunbreaker subclass is sbfplay as overpowered as it so super obviously is. I was psyched to play some Trials this weekend, but after all the Iron Banner I’ve been playing, I’m actually fine waiting another week or two. Especially if it means the balance will be better tuned and the game-ruining exploits will be removed. Maybe they could even nerf shotguns (and blink) a little bit more in the meantime?
